Couples sessions are intentionally structured to give you a strong foundation from the very beginning. Early in our work, I take a psychoeducational approach, teaching core principles from The Gottman Method and guiding you through evidence‑based tools that strengthen communication, deepen understanding, and reduce patterns that keep you stuck. You’ll learn practical skills in real time, and we’ll practice them together in session so they feel natural and usable outside the therapy room.
As these tools begin to take root, our work becomes more flexible and tailored to the unique rhythms of your relationship. Sessions shift from learning the “how” of communication to exploring the deeper layers of your connection — the emotions, histories, and hopes that shape how you show up with one another. Over time, therapy becomes a space where you can move with more ease, clarity, and compassion, supported by skills that help you navigate conflict and nurture closeness.
